Few of us find it easy to discover our own SPIRIT. It is the centre of our life, the essence of our being, and yet it is a stranger to most of us. Though we have taken great pains to cultivate the other sides of our nature, and are ever seeking new means to develop our mentality, to improve our body’s health, to increase our comforts and in every possible way to gratify the soul and its hungry emotions, the one factor we have left out is the spirit.
Yet the spirit is our essential self. The soul we have acquired as we passed through the various stages and phases of our pilgrimage. It is only, as it were, a psychic dress which must be changed as the spirit grows. It must be made to fit the spirit, rather than the spirit, as is so common, being made a servant of the soul and its emotions.
